1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PageMint, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that may apply to specific features. If you do not agree, you must not download, install, or use the App.

You represent that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on a device that you own or control.

This license does not give you the right to:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its book content.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
• Download, scrape, or extract book content for redistribution or commercial use.
• Use the App to build a competing product or service.

3. User Accounts

Creating an account is optional but recommended to unlock features such as cross-device sync, personalized recommendations, and cloud backup of your bookmarks and reading progress.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• You may delete your account at any time from within the App.

4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

PageMint offers both a free version (ad-supported, with access to a core library) and premium features that can be unlocked through in-app purchases and subscriptions processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

4.1 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the current subscription rate.

4.2 Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions

• iOS Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account: Settings - [Your Name] - Subscriptions.
• Android Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play Store: Menu - Subscriptions.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You will retain premium access until that date.
• Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription - you must cancel through the store where you subscribed.

4.3 Free Trials (if offered)

If a free trial is offered with a subscription, unused portions of the trial will be forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial ends. Your subscription begins immediately and the free trial does not apply.

4.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refund requests must be made directly through the respective store according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

• iOS Request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Android Request refunds through the Google Play Store order history.

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. If we change the price of a subscription you are actively subscribed to, we will notify you in advance and give you the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You are solely responsible for your use of the App and for any content you create, share, or interact with using the App. You agree NOT to use PageMint to:

• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Download, copy, redistribute, or share book content in violation of copyright or licensing terms.
• Attempt to bypass any access controls, paywalls, or DRM protections.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, our servers, or any connected system.
• Distribute viruses, malware, or any code designed to interfere with the App's functionality.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the App or download content.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the App or its content without our written permission.
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free trial offers or promotional pricing.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The App, including all of its software, graphics, icons, logos, text, user interface design, and underlying technology, is owned by AppAspect Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of India and international treaties.

Book content available within PageMint is either in the public domain, licensed from rights holders, or provided under appropriate agreements. Unless explicitly indicated, all such content remains the property of its respective authors and publishers. Your license to read a book through PageMint does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

You retain ownership of any personal notes, highlights, or bookmarks you create within the App. By using the sync feature, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit this content solely to provide the sync service to you across your devices.

7. Third-Party Content and Advertisements

The free version of the App displays advertisements delivered by third-party ad networks including Google AdMob and other partners. These advertisements may include links to third-party websites, products, or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third party, and inclusion of any advertisement does not constitute our endorsement.

Any transactions or interactions you have with third parties through ads are solely between you and the third party. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third party before engaging with them.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully: Privacy Policy.

9. App Updates and Modifications

We may periodically release updates, patches, or new versions of the App to add features, fix bugs, improve performance, or comply with legal requirements. Some updates may be required to continue using the App. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App (including book titles, categories, or features) at any time, with or without notice.

You agree to install updates promptly when prompted. We are not responsible for any issues resulting from your use of an outdated version of the App.

10. Content Availability

The book catalog available within PageMint may change over time. Books may be added, removed, or temporarily unavailable due to licensing agreements, regional restrictions, or publisher decisions. We do not guarantee the continued availability of any specific title. If a book is removed from the catalog, you may lose access to it, though your personal highlights and notes will remain.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements.
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• Any errors in the App will be corrected.
• The information, content, or recommendations in the App are accurate, complete, or reliable.

Book summaries, categorizations, and recommendations are provided for convenience and may contain inaccuracies. You should not rely on them for professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall AppAspect Technologies Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees, affiliates, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AppAspect Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of a third party; or (d) any content you share or distribute through or using the App.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease.
• Any active subscriptions will continue until the end of the paid billing period unless cancelled sooner through the app store.
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law).

You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account, uninstalling the App from all your devices, and cancelling any active subscriptions.

15. Apple App Store Additional Terms

iOS The following additional terms apply if you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and AppAspect Technologies Pvt. Ltd., not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you.
• You must comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service and Usage Rules when using the App.

16. Google Play Store Additional Terms

Android The following additional terms apply if you downloaded the App from the Google Play Store:

• You must comply with the Google Play Terms of Service.
• Google is not responsible for the App, its support, or any claims related to it.
• Refunds for purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google's refund policy.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

18. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date below and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the App.

19. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AppAspect Technologies Pvt. Ltd. regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
