Terms of Service for
Air Quality Index

The Air Quality Index mobile application is provided by AppAspect Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (hereafter "us", "we", or "our") in connection with our partners, service providers, sponsors, or other affiliates. Your use of our services is subject to the terms and conditions set forth below, as well as the privacy policy at our Privacy Policy.

By accessing and using our services on either Android or iOS, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. All guidelines or rules applicable to such services are hereby incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service.

The following activities are expressly prohibited when using Air Quality Index on any platform:

By using the Services on either Android or iOS, you warrant that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13, please do not use the Services. We may terminate your access to our services if we believe you are under the age of 13.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children's use of the App on both platforms, particularly regarding location permission grants. Children can use the manual Country & City Selector to browse AQI data for any location worldwide without granting location permission on either Android or iOS.

Air Quality Index is a data consumption and monitoring application on both Android and iOS. It does not currently include functionality for users to publicly submit, post, or share content with other users. All data displayed in the App — AQI readings, weather conditions, news articles — is sourced from third-party data providers and is not user-generated.

Favourite places saved within the App (city names and coordinates) are stored exclusively on your device on both platforms and are not submitted to us or shared with other users.

To the extent any feedback, suggestions, or bug reports you voluntarily send to us constitute "User Content", you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use such feedback for the purpose of improving the App and its services across both platforms. We will not identify you personally in connection with such feedback.

The Air Quality Index App's user interface, design, visual presentation, colour-coded AQI charts, icons, App architecture, and all software code — on both Android and iOS — are owned by or licenced to AppAspect Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

The AQI data, weather data, and news content displayed within the App are sourced from third-party data providers and remain the intellectual property of those respective providers and their sources. We hold a licence to display this data within the App but do not own the underlying data on either platform.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the App on your personal Android or iOS device for personal, non-commercial informational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from the App's content without prior written consent from us and the respective data providers.

Air Quality Index displays real-time AQI and weather data sourced from third-party monitoring networks and meteorological data providers on both Android and iOS. By using the App on either platform, you acknowledge and accept the following:

By granting location permission to Air Quality Index on either Android or iOS, you acknowledge and agree that:

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, actions, or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising or resulting from your breach of these Terms of Service or your access to, use, or misuse of the Content or the Services on either Android or iOS. We shall provide notice to you of any such claim, suit, or proceeding and shall assist you, at your expense, in defending any such claim. We reserve the right to assume exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification under this section. In such case, you agree to cooperate with any reasonable requests assisting our defence.

Some states or jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. IN SUCH STATES, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Air Quality Index integrates third-party services on both Android and iOS — including AQI data providers, weather data services, Google Maps API, Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google AdMob. By using the App on either platform, you acknowledge that your use of these integrated services is also subject to each respective third party's own terms of service and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party data services integrated into the App on either platform. Any links to third-party content within the App (including news articles) are provided for convenience only.

All in-app purchases are handled by the respective platform's billing system:

Air Quality Index is a free application supported by advertisements delivered via Google AdMob on both Android and iOS. By using the free version of the App on either platform, you acknowledge and accept the display of advertisements.

Advertisements are served by Google AdMob and use a platform-specific advertising identifier — GAID (Google Advertising ID) on Android, and IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers, subject to ATT consent) on iOS — along with general location context to deliver geographically relevant ads. No specific AQI readings, pollutant data, or health-related information about your location is used for ad targeting on either platform.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and may notify you via an in-app notice on either Android or iOS. Your continued use of the Services on any platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms of Service. If you do not agree to the updated terms, please uninstall the App from all your devices and stop using our services.
