Terms of ServiceBy downloading, installing, or using Nutoriq (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AppAspect Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”). Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you are using the App on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Nutoriq is a mobile application that provides calorie and nutrition tracking tools, including AI-powered food photo recognition, a barcode scanner, food database search, macro and calorie dashboards, AI coaching messages, meal planning, and related health and wellness features.
The App is available in a free tier (with advertising) and a paid Pro tier (subscription-based). Features available on each tier are described in the App and may be updated from time to time.
You must create an account to use Nutoriq. You may register using an email address and password, or via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at apps@appaspecttechnologies.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Nutoriq (or 16 years old if you are in the EU/EEA). By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the applicable minimum age requirement. Users aged 13–17 should obtain parental consent before using the App.
You may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing subscription paywalls, referral systems, or usage limits.

Subscription payments are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) through their respective payment systems. By subscribing, you authorise the applicable platform to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Monthly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You will not receive a separate renewal reminder from us; renewal notifications are managed by Apple and Google.
Where offered, a free trial gives you temporary access to Pro features at no charge. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged the applicable subscription price. You may only use a free trial once per Apple ID or Google Play account.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings (iOS) or Google Play subscription management (Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until that date. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of a subscription period.
All purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests must be submitted directly to the respective platform in accordance with their refund policies. We have no ability to issue refunds for in-app purchases.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect at your next renewal date. We will provide advance notice of material price increases via the App or email.
A Lifetime purchase grants access to Pro features as they exist at the time of purchase, plus any future Pro features added during the lifetime of the App. “Lifetime” refers to the operational lifetime of Nutoriq as a product; if we discontinue the App, lifetime access terminates without refund obligation.
The free tier of Nutoriq is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. By using the free tier, you consent to the display of advertisements. We do not control the specific ads shown; they are served by AdMob based on your device’s advertising ID and usage signals.
Upgrading to Nutoriq Pro removes all advertisements. We do not accept payment from advertisers to influence the content of the App outside of the standard AdMob network.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; (c) sell, sublicence, or otherwise transfer the App to any third party; (d) use the App for any unlawful purpose; or (e) use automated tools to access or scrape the App or its data.
This licence terminates automatically if you breach any provision of these Terms.
You retain ownership of any content you create within the App, including custom food entries, recipes, food log data, progress photos, and notes (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content to Nutoriq, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and use that content solely for the purpose of providing the App’s features to you. We do not claim ownership of your User Content and do not share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws. You may export or delete all User Content at any time via Settings.
The AI photo logging feature uses machine learning to identify food items and estimate their nutritional content from photos. Estimates may be inaccurate due to portion size variations, food preparation methods, mixed dishes, poor image quality, or foods not well-represented in the AI’s training data. Always verify estimates using the manual editing tools provided and consult a registered dietitian for precise nutritional needs.
AI coaching messages and meal plans are generated by a large language model (Anthropic Claude) and are based on the nutritional data you log. They are general suggestions only and do not constitute personalised medical, dietary, or clinical advice. The AI may produce inaccurate or unsuitable suggestions. You use these features at your own discretion.
Nutritional data in the food database is sourced from third-party databases including Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranty about the completeness or correctness of nutritional data. Nutritional values can vary by brand, preparation, and region.
The information provided by Nutoriq — including calorie targets, macro recommendations, AI coaching, meal plans, and body composition estimates — is for general informational and wellness purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
You should always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional before making any significant changes to your diet, exercise routine, or lifestyle — particularly if you:

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your account without notice.
All content, features, design, source code, trademarks, logos, and trade names associated with Nutoriq are the exclusive property of AppAspect Technologies or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property except the limited licence described in Section 6.
The name “Nutoriq,” the Nutoriq logo, and associated branding are trademarks of AppAspect Technologies. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.
If you believe any content in the App infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at apps@appaspecttechnologies.com with details of your claim.
Nutoriq integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase, Adapty, Google AdMob, Anthropic Claude API, Apple Health, Google Fit, Open Food Facts, and USDA FoodData Central. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Links to third-party websites or services within the App are provided for convenience and do not constitute an endorsement.
Purchases and subscriptions on iOS are subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service. Purchases on Android are subject to Google’s Google Play Terms of Service.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE; (B) CALORIE OR NUTRITION ESTIMATES WILL BE ACCURATE; (C) AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE CORRECT OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS; OR (D) THE APP WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APPASPECT TECHNOLOGIES AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AppAspect Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the App in violation of these Terms; (b) your User Content; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account via Settings > Delete My Account. Account deletion cancels future data processing but does not automatically cancel an active subscription; you must cancel subscriptions separately through Apple or Google.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, or if required by law. In case of termination for cause, you are not entitled to a refund.
Upon termination, your licence to use the App ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Sections 11, 13, 14, 15, and 17) will survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users in the EU/EEA, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply.
We encourage you to contact us first at apps@appaspecttechnologies.com to resolve any dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved quickly this way.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and by sending a push notification or in-app alert. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
