1. About Parivaaro

Parivaaro is a multilingual, mobile-first community platform that lets you create and join communities, discover public and private groups, post and comment in community feeds, message other members directly, and manage community operations from your phone. To provide these features, we need to collect and process certain information as described below.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Account and verification data: We use phone number verification (OTP) to sign you up and log you in. We collect your phone number to create and secure your account.
• Profile information: Your display name, profile photo, city/state, bio, preferred language, and optional gender.
• Community content: Communities you create or join, posts, announcements, comments, reactions, uploaded images, and community settings, rules, icons, and banners.
• Messages: Content of direct messages (text and images) you send to other members, along with related metadata such as delivery and read state.
• Reports and moderation data: Information you submit when reporting users, posts, comments, communities, or chats, and records of blocks you apply.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: Device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, and in-app activity used to operate and improve the App.
• Analytics data: We use Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage and engagement (for example, communities viewed, posts created, messages sent).
• Diagnostics: We use Firebase Crashlytics to capture crash reports and stability data.
• Push tokens: A device notification token to deliver push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate Parivaaro. These services may process limited data on our behalf according to their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase Both — Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, and Crashlytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob Both — Advertising may be introduced in the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Sharing of Information

• With other members: Your profile details, role badges, posts, comments, and messages are visible to other members according to community visibility settings and your interactions. Your phone number is not displayed to other members unless you choose to share it.
• With community admins: Community owners, admins, sub-admins, and moderators can view member information, manage roles, review reports, and take moderation actions within their communities.
• With service providers: As described in Section 4, to deliver and maintain the App.
• For legal reasons: Where required by law or to protect users, we may disclose information to authorities or in response to valid legal requests.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App and comply with legal obligations.

You can request deletion of your account directly from the app settings. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personally linked data through our downstream cleanup process, subject to legal retention requirements and reasonable operational limits. Some content you contributed to communities may persist in aggregated or anonymized form.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Access, update, or correct your profile information from within the App.
• Manage notification preferences globally and, where available, per community.
• Block or report other users and content.
• Request account deletion from app settings.
• Change your preferred language at any time.

8. Data Security

We protect your information using role-aware access controls and encrypted transit. While we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Parivaaro is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. International Users

Parivaaro is operated from India. By using the App, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in India and other locations where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App. Continued use of Parivaaro after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
